Disclaimer
Terms of sale and use for Rubicon Audio products. Last updated October 17, 2026.
-
Agreement
By ordering, downloading, installing or using a Rubicon Audio product, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t install or use the product. Rubicon Audio is a brand of Rubicon, LLC (“we” or “us”). We may update these terms from time to time; the version posted here when you buy applies to that purchase.
-
Orders and payment
Orders are processed by FastSpring, our online reseller and Merchant of Record. FastSpring handles payment, sales tax and VAT, billing questions and refunds, and its own terms and privacy policy apply at checkout. Any applicable tax is calculated and shown at checkout based on your location.
To fulfil your order, FastSpring shares the details we need with us — your name, email address and what you bought — so we can issue your license and support you.
-
Your license
When you buy a Rubicon Audio product, you’re buying a license to use it, not the software itself. Each license is for one person, who may activate it on up to two computers they own or control at a time.
You may not share, sell, rent, lend, transfer or otherwise distribute the software or your license key without our written permission, and you may not modify, decompile or reverse engineer the software except where the law expressly allows it.
-
Delivery
All products are digital downloads; nothing is shipped. Your download link and license key are emailed to you right after purchase. If they don’t arrive or the download doesn’t work, contact us within 14 days of your order. After that, the order is considered delivered.
-
Refunds
You can get a full refund within 14 days of purchase as long as your license hasn’t been activated. Once a license is activated, the software counts as delivered and used, and we can’t offer a refund. This follows EU and UK rules for digital content, under which the right of withdrawal ends once you’ve started using it with your consent.
To request a refund, reply to your FastSpring order email or contact us.
-
Using what you make
Audio you create with Rubicon Audio plugins is yours. You can use it royalty-free in commercial and non-commercial work — records, film, TV, games, advertising and streaming — with no extra fees and no credit required.
-
No warranty
We test our products carefully, but software can have bugs, and we can’t guarantee it will work with every computer, operating system or host application. To the extent the law allows, products are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. Save your sessions often and keep monitoring at safe levels.
-
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages from using or being unable to use our products, including lost data, lost work or income, or damage to equipment or hearing. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the license. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be waived.
-
Ownership
Rubicon Audio software, including its code, interface, graphics and sounds, and the Rubicon Audio name and logo are owned by Rubicon, LLC. Copying or distributing them without our permission is not allowed.
-
Termination
Your license lasts until it’s ended. You can end it at any time by uninstalling the software and deleting all copies. We can end it if you break these terms, in which case you must stop using the software and delete all copies. Sections 6 through 9 continue to apply after the license ends, so audio you’ve already made stays yours.
-
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California. If you’re a consumer outside the United States, you keep any protections your local law gives you that can’t be waived.
